Welcome to the Electric League of Missouri and Kansas website. We are an organization of electrical supply wholesalers, electric utilities, manufacturer's agents, manufacturers, contractors, engineers, architects and others involved in the electrical industry in the two-state area.

The Mission of the Electric League of Missouri and Kansas is to identify and cooperatively meet the diverse needs of member businesses in Missouri and Kansas who provide products or services to the electrical industry.

The Focus of the organization is to promote the safe and efficient use of electricity. The League is an active, growing organization that works for you. Founded in 1912 as a forum for industry cooperation, the Electric League has expanded its focus to meet the diverse needs of our members.

May 11, 2012 - Basic Electricity & Safety Demo
Location: KCP&L Traning Facility (10051 Raytown Rd., Kansas City, MO)
Time: 11:00am/Registration; 11:30am/Basic Electricity & Safety Demo; 12:30pm/Lunch
Cost: $30 per person
Lunch Provided by: Back Yard Burger
Demonstrator: Shawn Spiwak, KCP&L
Program/Demo: A basic electricity lesson with a series of live demonstrations (primary arc at 7200 volts, blown fuse, car tire
                           fire, etc.) explaining the hazards and safety precautions for each. Shawn will also share his personal
                           experience with an electrical contact.
